Anyone planning to take long day trips with the expanding charging network? I'm still aiming for Canberra, maybe even beyond.
The furthest I have ever driven my LEAF from my home in Sydney is 65 km, charging overnight. I have never tried to cover more than its range in one day, hence needing to rely on an in-trip charge. Having said that, I bought it as a city car, and never expected or intended to use it for longer trips.
So in comparison, driving Model 3 is such a different universe. The longest drive we’ve done in a weekend is 780 km. Just being able to drive completely range-anxiety free at highway speeds of 110+ km/h without missing a beat is just incredible.
