Those things in the car work i.e. traffic, charge points, but no ranking stuff. Have obviously never logged in before as I just got the car I can log in to the website but it shows no car info and the iphone app says it can't connect to the owners portal.

Yippee - it works. Now I can see the charge status and even better was able to turn on the heater before heading out tonight.

You start with owners.nissan.com.au/portal/You then need a Username and Password ( which your Dealer should have given you ) When you have logged in, you select ' My vehicles ', then ' My Nissan LEAF vehicle settings ', and then select the ' Carwings ' tabs. But I have just checked, and Carwings appears to be down, with some illegible notice. I would not expect it to be Up again until late Monday - at the earliest. If your Dealer hasn't, or won't, give you a Username and Password, then Dean might be able to help. I know this is an old thread but I will try. My father sold me his 2012 Leaf. He didn't know anything about a username and password. When I rang the dealer he bought it from they couldn't have been more disinterested - Steve Jarvin Nissan Parramatta Rd Burwood.
I tried a couple of years ago to get a new user created but eventually gave up.
Does anyone know how I can create a new account or find out what the current account is?
Is there anyone I can contact at Nissan that is interested in helping?

I haven't tried it myself but the portal has the number 1800 LEAF EV (5323 38) listed. Does that get you anywhere?

My dealer didn't give me any login info either, I had to work it out myself. 1. Go to the Leaf Owners portal (http://owners.nissan.com.au/portal/) and click on "Forgotten Password". It will ask you to enter an email address. Providing you enter the same email address that your dad gave the dealer, a new password will be sent to that email address. So you’ll need your dad to forward that email to you. 2. When you receive the email, it will reveal the Owners Portal "user name" and a temporary password. My Owners Portal user name begins with "X" followed by 8 digits. This is not the same as your Carwings account ID. 3. Go back to the Owners Portal and type in your user name and temporary password to log in. Hopefully everything works! Change your temporary password to something more memorable/permanent. 4. In the Owners Portal, click on "My Vehicles" on the left and then click the "My Nissan Leaf Vehicle Settings" button. You'll get a page of info about your car, which may be empty if Carwings hasn't been set up. Click on the "Carwings" tab at the top of this page. That will reveal your Carwings account ID and your Carwings password. Write both of these down. 5. If the dealer did not enter the Carwings account details into the Leaf itself (my dealer hadn't), you can set it up yourself - follow the instructions in the Leaf owners manual. Once you do that, the Leaf will log in to the Carwings server (provided you are in mobile coverage), and from there everything should work.

I haven't used Carwings for a few years, but would like to start turning on the aircon remotely. I've looked on my phone, and have a Nissan Connect ap. Is this the same as Carwings? When I try to login I get an error message: 20502. I wanted to check that I'm using the correct ap before trying to ring Nissan.

The android app is Nissan Connect v2.0.4 , but shows as Nissan EV on the icon. Its not on the Android store at the moment(don't know about iOS), but Feng has kindly made it available for direct download and installation via an .apk file. ozleaf.proboards.com/post/14633

On iOS, the App is called "NissanConnect EV" but once installed the icon is just called "Nissan EV". On iOS the current version is 2.0.6.

Can anyone still log into Carwings? My account doesn't seem to exist any more. Right before it happened it started working again after not working for most of the year.

Can anyone still log into Carwings? I only use the app, and it hasn't been working for roughly 2 months. I finally got around to pulling the fuse, but that hasn't worked twice. Yeah, the error message seemed to suggest that for me too. I assumed it doesn't know what it's typing about, as usual. But maybe it's right this time. That would be annoying. My app had a good run very roughly from mid year to October. It will be interesting to hear others' experiences.

Likewise. The service has been intermittent over the last few months, but now I can't login at all.

On the iOS App I get “User ID / password invalid” message which, given those credentials are stored in the app, is not a good sign. Does the 2020 Leaf have Carwings or equivalent telemetry capability? I hoped (perhaps in vain) that the advent of more Leafs on these shores would mean that someone would finally pay more attention to keeping Carwings online and working reliably, rather than being a forgotten appendage serving a wacky group of early adopters.

No, the Australian delivered ZE1 doesn't have Carwings nor telematics. Feels like a feature they skimped on.

Especially WA now has the turn to have 36C+ days. The remote AC is a feature that I didn't expect before. It's now a must for me (if I ever decided to get another EV). This is by far more important to me compared to lane assist, driver assist, FSD, etc. I've noticed my car's Carwings data stuck in February the 5th. Now, although the web portal ( owners.nissan.com.au/portal/) still exist, I can't logon, even when I click "Forgot Password". This is definitely the first time I see that, and only can mean Nissan Australia totally gives up on the car's connectivity. Sad...

We still have two more stinking hot days left here, according to the forecast. I wonder if the protocol has been reverse engineered, and made generally available. It would be nice to write a phone app that makes a mobile call to your car directly, and isn't so slow. Maybe even add a few more features. If I get some time, I'll look into that. Edit: some clues (which I don't understand much of) here: www.electricvehiclewiki.com/wiki/carwings-protocol/Edit 2: more clues (which I also don't understand much of) here: tobis.dk/blog/nissan-ev-app-part1/

But it looks like it won't do you much good, sadly. Edit: see this post: ozleaf.proboards.com/post/15259/thread

It looks to me that the above rely on servers at Nissan, so on their own they don't seem to have what we need to be able to solve our problem. A quick search doesn't look promising. It's maddening having all that remote functionality in the car not able to do anything!

I was expecting Nissan Australia re-commit the remote connection with new Leafs (leaves?). Sadly not... When I can be bothered, maybe I'll try DIY canbus via mobile network (which involves SIM card, such as here). Seems too much trouble..

Tesla’s not perfect, but at least their App always works and you never have the feeling it’s a crap-shoot as to whether it will work from one day to the next. It’s central to their ecosystem, not an afterthought. Shame, Nissan, shame.

Now that I'm in front of my PC I've tried to log in to Carwings via the Nissan Owners Portal - and I can't even log in to the Nissan Owners Portal!(https://owners.nissan.com.au/portal/) - It just says "Login Failed". If you try the "Recover Password" link, it says your email address is not found.
Carwings is DEAD DEAD DEAD
The most recent telematics data I downloaded from the site was in May. I was just about to download the most recent data since the server only keeps it for 6 months - so it's now gone forever
I changed email addresses earlier this year and emailed the Nissan CSC to have my Carwings details updates since there was no way to change them online - and they reverted in July saying the changes had been made.
I'll email them back and asked WTF has happened...

I dived into the console Carwings menu and played the energy stats for my car... the most recent data was for 28 August. So it appears that 29 August is the date Carwings died.
Nissan has not replied to my email yet.

What's the point of having the website still up when you can't log in!? It's frustrating, I had a few times when it could have come in handy. I would have even paid for the service if it was reasonably priced.

I would have even paid for the service if it was reasonably priced. Not only that, it’s the complete lack of notice and silence from Nissan on it. They just pulled the pin without telling anyone. Extremely poor form in my book. At least with some warning I could have downloaded all the stats that were there, even if there is nothing we could do to convince them to keep it running. Compared to the Tesla ecosystem, Carwings was a pile of cow manure, but still... If/when they reply to my courteous email asking what happened, I will post it here.

I was under impression it's just the website interface that got killed by Nissan Australia. Looks like Nissan Australia actually killed the whole connectivity altogether. I have RSS feed from DFES programmed into the Carwing (the 'lady' simply read the text RSS) and that no longer work. On the bright side, I won't need to worry to upgrade the TCU to 4G when 3G get obsoleted.

Efficiency data reported by my car stops at 28 Aug. Nissan have not replied yet to my latest email, although I guess most folks are still on leave at the moment.
