Thank you EVangelist for the explanation of the setting up for Carwings on the car, which wasn't done by the dealer. That end is now set up, although it tells me that I need a Carwings account, which I believe I already have. I also have a Carwings password, but have had no luck getting it to work since purchase two-and-a-half weeks ago. If the system has been offline, hopefully that is the only problem, but I'll have to see. At times, I haven't been getting the silly string error messages, but just a message about there being no battery data available.
If it starts working again, could someone please post that here, so then I can try the system again, and get onto Nissan if needed?

I just logged in to Carwings again, and the telemetry data has been updated to 19th March, for me at least. The world rankings are listed as current for 23 March. Here's the current efficiency ranking list just for Australia: For anyone else here who has successfully logged into Carwings previously, what happens if you try now? There seems to be a range of different issues for different people at the moment! PS. does anyone know who N2029367 is? Shame we can't change our User IDs, unlike in just about every other country

Well done It's ridiculous that Carwings only lists efficiency to one decimal place, I'd really like to know how much below 0.1 the global leader is achieving - it's reported as 0.0 so it must be 0.04 or something. How that is possible with driving any sort of distance is a mystery. Only ever drives downhill and gets towed back up?

Good. Now get rid of it abd use LEAF link. It works much faster and has more options. Plus no need to log in all the time

Hallelujah! I've sort of got Carwings working, at least partially. I tried logging in to the owners' portal this morning, and got the usual silly string error message. Then I decided to have a go through Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer, and it let me login, but I couldn't get any tabs to work. I used the back arrow up the top, and went back in, and suddenly the tabs were working! The only bit not working is the Home tab, which says: No battery information to display. If I click on it, it says it will retrieve it in a few minutes, but no luck there.
I'm also trying to get Leaf Commander working, but it doesn't want to accept my password.
So, some progress.... I'm showing the car to a bunch of classes at school tomorrow, and would love to be able to use the phone controls as part of the demo.

How long does it take for your car's stats to be shown in Carwings? My stats are blank (they are set to upload when the car starts) but nothing appears on the Carwing graphs.
Is there something I've missed?

Can be days behind. Sometimes a week if there is something wrong with carvings. My stats are missing about 10,000kms

So just an update. Finally got carwings sorted for the first time since my purchase. In what had been an ongoing battle between myself and Nissan, it was found there was an issue on their end. To their credit they persisted to find a solution. It wasn't exactly explained what was the problem however I believe it was software related. Empowerrepower after reading your posts, they sound almost identical in nature to mine with relation to the issues you're having, I would be giving Dean a call/email while its fresh in his mind to have yours sorted if not already. Happy to provide you with my details as a reference for the problem etc.

Thanks, Antigas, I've just messaged you. As it happens, I talked to Dean on the phone for the first time today, and he actually said that there had been another person with a Moorooka Nissan Leaf with a similar problem, so I'm thinking that he was talking about you without mentioning any names. I would like to follow up with an email. I've just re-read your posts, and we seem to have had the same Carwings problems, so I'm hopeful now that I've heard of your success. Perhaps there are others here who could use the same solution.

An update: Carwings is finally working for me. I seemed to be having identical problems to Antigas before he got it working, but Dean from Nissan said it wasn't the same problem. What got it working has me puzzled. Dean said he tried my password in his own Leaf, and it wasn't working. The IT people then told him he had the zeros and capital "O"s mixed up. Once he put it in correctly, Carwings started working at our end. So Dean thinks I was entering the password incorrectly. But I wasn't (triple checked), and had entered it many dozens of times from different devices and on the car as well.

Yep, same here. LEAF app returns an error message "incorrect user name or password" while the web login spins its wheel for a while, eventually turns red, then does nothing - does not log you in but no error message either.

I've been nagging my salesperson for the right login details for 2 weeks with no luck :-( Hi Caroline - welcome to Leaf ownership! Provided you gave the dealer your email address when you bought the car, and assuming they actually set up a Carwings account for you (which they should do, it is part of the delivery checklist) then you should be able to get Carwings working yourself. My dealer didn't give me any login info either, I had to work it out myself. PS. Don't follow these instructions yet because Carwings is still down at the moment (happens quite regularly, unfortunately). 1. Go to the Leaf Owners portal (http://owners.nissan.com.au/portal/) and click on "Forgotten Password". It will ask you to enter your email address. Providing you enter the same email address that you gave your dealer, you will get a new password sent to you. 2. When you receive the email, it will reveal your Owners Portal "user name" and a temporary password. My Owners Portal user name begins with "X" followed by 8 digits. This is not the same as your Carwings account ID. 3. Go back to the Owners Portal and type in your user name and temporary password to log in. Hopefully everything works! Change your temporary password to something more memorable/permanent. 4. In the Owners Portal, click on "My Vehicles" on the left and then click the "My Nissan Leaf Vehicle Settings" button. You'll get a page of info about your car, which may be empty if Carwings hasn't been set up. Click on the "Carwings" tab at the top of this page. That will reveal your Carwings account ID and your Carwings password. Write both of these down. 5. If your dealer has not entered the Carwings account details into your Leaf itself (my dealer hadn't), you can set it up yourself - follow the instructions in the Leaf owners manual. Once you do that, the Leaf will log in to the Carwings server (provided you are in GPRS coverage), and from there everything should work. We'll let you know here when Carwings is back up

Thanks I have tried using the forgotten password option but it says error user not found... Have tried all my email addresses. Unfortunately then yes, you need to hassle your dealer about it as you have been doing Pretty poor form that they didn't even register your email address for the Owners Portal.

Thanks I have tried using the forgotten password option but it says error user not found... Have tried all my email addresses. Carwings is pretty unreliable. Seems to go down every other month. I don't care about the stats so much but not being able to use the app to pre-warm the car while still plugged in is a super pain. I've been trying for a week at least and no luck. Keep monitoring this forum thread and once we can confirm it's working for us then you will be able to run through your setup steps.

I love the stats. The good thing is that it does not loose the stats, just stores them and you can get them when it comes back on line.
Based in Perth so I don't have much need to pre-warm the car.
