Electric car warning stickers aren't mandatory in NSW but a work colleague suggested they are a good idea, just in case you are in a "traffic incident". The emergency services can then respond correctly, for example, by using the correct type of fire extinguisher. I found these stickers www.bradyid.com.au/en-au/840922/prod-BRAU_840922.html?cat=BA01_010103. I contacted the local distributor (click on the button) and though not a stock item, they had them there within 2 days. They stick really well and look neat IMO. Also, I hope drivers behind me at traffic lights etc. see the badge, twig that I'm driving an electric car, and get interested. I put the sticker on the back just below the plate, but on the front I cut around the triangle and put it directly on the plate.

At one of the Vic catch ups I bought a couple of blue 'EV' diamonds (supposed Vic roads specification) from an AEVA guy. That said no one is shouting from the roof tops that we have to have them.
They look like the Ev version of the lpg sticker.

I saw you driving in Stanmore today, I knew it was you because of your stickers. I was with my girlfriend in her car so you wouldn't have seen me.

I thought the photos looked a bit photoshopped. Did you know that there's an owner in WA who has that for his number plate? Brian hasn't been on the forum in a few months but he used to be a regular. Actually he was the first member here after Jim created the forum. Was your choice just a coincidence?

I actually checked out MyPlates to see if "NIL CO2" was available in NSW, but it said not available. The really odd thing is, if you then go to the NSW Registration check website and look up "NIL CO2" - it is not assigned to any vehicle! If I really wanted to spend $400 per year on vanity plates, I might ask RMS a few hard questions "why is it so?". Some vanity plates that I looked up for fun included variants and combinations of "LEAF" and "EV". "ELECTR" was available!

Because you can buy plates and then pay a storage fee to not have them assigned to a car. probably owned by a wannabe tesla owner waiting for his P85D to arrive.

That sticker rocks.
Of all the things that are great about the leaf, what I like most is that Im now not handing over so much $ every week to the FFF industries to help fund digging up more FFF (not a typo). The amount of $ for energy buck seems disproportionally high for car fuel, even guessing about the cost of fuel stations and trucks. I can see that now that I can actually compare car energy use with my house energy use, ie its only 15-20per week now, a bit less than our whole house's electricity use, rather than the 50-70 I was paying in gas, so it must be like cream to their industry, for playing havoc with. .. now how else can i take away more of their play money ...
cross and yet happy at the same time canberra jodie
