I was not overly impressed with the general interior, I like the Leaf better! I like the interior of the LEAF better too!

Can anyone confirm that it is mennekes.
My source says that it looks like mennekes but isn't. It could be a proprietory tesla connection.
I have seen that in Europe it is the mennekes connector. Would be good if tesla did not have another standard.

The Tesla guy said that it is the same as the European version mennekes.
Doing a different standard with the same connector would be asking for trouble...

To the point where the BMW i3 has the CHAdeMO port on the side cover and the J1772 port under the bonnet. The reasoning behind it is owners are more likely to charge using a public L3 rather than an L2 at home like everywhere else. Probably because private parking spaces aren't as common there. It must be a pain if you need to use L2 most of the time!

I forgot to add an item to my Leaf vs. Model S comparison:
Missing in Leaf : 5. No DAB radio. This is particularly the case as the intergrated radio cannot be swapped to a third party one as in older cars. (I have now edited my earlier post.)
The Model S has has a DAB radio. I realize that Nissan was an earlier model then the model S, but this is still an important problem. My old Hilux has DAB but our Nissan can't unless buying an external radio, but I don't think any of them can integrate seemlessly. It would be nice to have a DAB radio via USB which would show the radio stations as song titles but instead would play them forever.

I use an app on my phone and the car connects with bluetooth automagicaly, so i just have to press the AUX button, if i was listenining to the radio and select the radio on the phone. ABC has a great app, and there are lots of others. It's internet radio rather than digital radio, but you can get the digital stations, and the sound quality is as good, I think.

Does the net radio dropout in certain areas ? And r u with Telstra ? It does a bit but not enough to be annoying. I am with Yatango - on the 2Gb plan.

The cool thing with net radio eg tunein is that it starts off where the interruption was so you don't miss a thing

What it should do is buffer 5 minutes ahead so it can absorb dropouts. Would be no problem with compressed audio, tiny...
