For some the answer is to rent an ICE on the rare occasion they need to drive further than the range allows.
If this is once a year then it makes sense, but if it's twice a month then the LEAF probably isn't the right car.
For the vast majority of us there haven't been any problems with range and we are never left stranded.

I have yet to pull the trigger on a Leaf as it just seems that there are many factors that contribute to driving a Leaf. I'm aware that only I can know how I'll use my car, but on the odd occasion that something comes up that is 80kms away and having to drive 10kms under the limit in order to make it to my destination is a bit concerning. Now I know that would change if those chargers were to be installed, but I still have to drive to one on the way or outta the way I wish it was easier! I wish there were as many quick charges in Aus as there is in Japan Hi, I occasionally travel for 90kms in a day and mostly on freeway and was driving up to the legal limit. The LEAF can do it if I charge it to 100%. I assume you meant traveling 80kms in a day. I don't think there are any issue for traveling 80kms on the LEAF.

I wish it was easier! I wish there were as many quick charges in Aus as there is in Japan If we want more quick charging stations in Australia, we need more people buying EVs here. Finally, the price is right. Now the ball is on the buyers side. Maybe you can ask if the dealer can lend you a LEAF for two days to check if it is suitable for you?
