Right on, riddick. Agree 100 %.
But LEAF owners are NOT doing nothing- we are a start towards the very necessary future.
We may only be a very small part of the solution, but we could be seen as being in the vanguard of the climate revolution.

Only rarely, but not doing so, certainly won't change anything

If they manage to collect enough signatures then it will. This is what Al Gore suggested in his article as well.
Sorry, I did not mean to imply that anyone on this forum is not doing anything, I meant it more as a country.

People's views are easily manipulated by the media, which is how things are managed/controlled in a supposed "democracy". The other way is politicians parroting things even when they are known to be not true.
Repeat "Carbon Tax - bad tax" hundreds of times and say nothing about truly bad taxes you will introduce later...

Agree with both of you.
On a brighter note, the Chinese have got the message and are leading the way -
1. They have a 10% sales tax on new vehicles. They are removing that for EVs to encourage their use. Can you see our revenue-greedy government doing that ?
2. They have mandated that one third of government vehicles are to be EVs - plug-in,fuel-cell or hybrid.

Quote " The power of the people is greater than that of the people in power " . . . I hope. yeah but i think money speaks louder than people. so it's better to ask who has your home loan, where is your super invested where is your other money invested. there are plenty of ethical super funds or funds like unisuper that don't investing in mining. (nearly all companies have a ethical fund option which is small improvement, although reading the fine print on mine it only really doesn't include alcohol and tobacco still includes some mining)

Don't have a home loan or super so I'd better look at where my 'other money' is!

If it's under the mattress, Phoebe, there is no need for you to ' Divest from fossil fuels '. Certainly money talks, Gab, as been shown by Clive Palmer's totally unashamed assault on democracy. But the value of coal dropping by 10%, and the Chinese and Indians reducing their coal imports, are going to give him cold comfort.
