Does anyone know if you can change the warning time the GPS gives you? Seems like it waits until I'm already there then suddenly says TURN RIGHT NOW when it's too late. Seems like there would be a distance setting, 150M out, 300M out etc. but I can't find anything. Anyone else feel this way or are my reaction times just getting slower as I get older!

No, haven't come across anything but I have become much better at gaging and interpreting the timing so hasn't been a problem for me.

On a side note, is it possible to use different GPS software instead? Is the Leaf's GPS software loaded from an sdcard somewhere?

Not that we're aware of, my guess is it's all built into the firmware and not a separate module.

I read that there were 2x Sdcard slots on the side of the leafs display, one for gps updates and the other for saving gps data.
That sounds very similar to how the Chinese head units from ebay work. Have you tried taking the gps sdcard out and seeing if the files on it can be viewed on your pc using a card reader?
With the Chinese headunits, you could actually side load other gps software instead of using the default software - since the majority of them ran wince.
Do you know what os the leafs head unit uses?
