Just wanted to create awareness that the Nissan Leaf ZE1 (the 2nd gen 40kwh) can be imported via the same SEVS route that the 24kwh and 30kwh AZE0 Leafs are being imported now. Here is the link to the official government document: rvcs-prodweb.dot.gov.au/sevs/D49-00%20USED%20ELIGIBLE.htmThe condition is that the car must be produced between 02/10/2017 to 25/04/2019 All Leafs produced after this date cannot be brought in as Nissan Australia is the official importer of cars built from that date onwards. It does give buyers more options and perhaps the opportunity to buy a 40kwh Leaf for around $30k. Below is just a quick screen shot of cars as examples: Cheers everyone. If anyone is considering one, would love to hear about the buying experience.

Oh my, there's a LEAF Nismo. That's compelling. No plans to upgrade mine but I wish someone can put that on the road here.

Isn't that the price before all the extra compliancing costs etc? I would say so, on the prestige import website, similar cars are being quoted around $45k landed and complied.

Nobody is doing them yet though. Prestige was looking for someone to be the first (test case) which can take quite a while (few months).
