A question for those who have done this trip - specifically those who undertook the Sydney to Devonport trip for the AEVA conference in 2017! I'm planning to do the reverse (Hobart to Sydney), in my Leaf, later this year - in line with the AEVA conference in Sydney. Some questions: - What was the reason for avoiding the direct Melbourne to Sydney route?
(Some of the attendees travelled via the coastal route). - Was there a particular gap between towns which was impassable?
- Was it to do with driving slower speeds on the Hume Highway? (Although I thought it was at least four lane everywhere, so driving slower shouldn't be that big a deal?)
- Was it just because you wanted a change of scenery?
The number of DC chargers on this route has already increased significantly, with more to come this year (Euroa, Barnawartha North, Holbrook, Goulburn, Mittagong), so it should be much easier.
