It's great to have more places to charge but it feels a bit odd since you wouldn't visit Jax stores regularly. I wonder how do the franchise owners feel about spending so much on something they think will hardly get used (for now)? Were they pressured by corporate? Will all the freeloaders just piss them off?
My last set of tyres were from Jax. I was planning to get my next set from elsewhere but because of this I plan to get them from Jax again and hopefully get a charge while I'm at it to support them. I'll be sure to tell them that.

The photo above shows AC charging but apparently there will be Tritium DC chargers installed. The cost per site is an issue for the franchisees to consider.
I'm glad that the company has shown leadership in this sector, I will definitely consider them the next time I need tyres.

I used them for no other reason than the ECOPIA 150's were way cheaper than any other supplier.

Apparently a few Repco stores have AC chargers. Which is a little incongruous, as how many EVs are going to go there for their oil, manifolds, filters, spark plugs, timing belts, coolants, mufflers and all those specialist tools to endlessly fiddle with ICE mechanics But good on them for doing so.

Tyre stores are one of the few areas of the automotive industry which are going to see minimal disruption!

Then again low rolling resistance tyres tend to last longer because they're harder wearing. From memory I've done 70,000km with my current set and there's still life left in them.

I was just checking out www.jaxtyres.com.au/blog/?p=18969 and came across this quote: "Furthermore, and unique to JAX Tyres, any electric vehicle will be topped up via portable chargers while being serviced." Interesting.
