Mine has also stopped working a couple of days ago. Huh. Mine started again a few days ago, though I have yet to start air conditioning remotely. I just started charging now, and retrieved the status (expected range, etc.) as well.

... though I have yet to start air conditioning remotely. That works for me now too. I'm sure it worked long ago, I'm just getting used to when to press the appropriate buttons.

Cool - thanks rusdy the fuse disconnect and reconnect worked for me as well. With 4 days of 40+ temps here in Adelaide I'll certainly make use of turning on the air con 30 minutes before I get to the car.

Yup, mine has been working hard been turned ON multiple times from my app (since only 15 minutes on when not connected to charger). WA has been cruel in the last 2 weeks. I'm guessing the battery depletes extra just this year alone due to heat

I haven't been using it for a while. Tried yesterday, and it failed. Tried again today, app and web portal both not working. I wonder if the person that kicks the server when needed is on leave...

Just tried mine and it's working. Looks like my server is on different server compared to yours. The guy is alive and kickin' on mine Joke aside, it did happen to me in the past (others working but not mine), usually wait for couple of days...

I’m not missing the on-again off-again and incredibly slow Carwings app. The Tesla App just works, all the time. And now that Nissan has seemingly abandoned the LEAF and BEVs in general, expect the maintenance of Carwings to go downhill even more, if that’s possible.

The Tesla App just works, all the time. ... Show-offs! Yeah! What right do you have to expect such performance from a car manufacturer? Surely it's just a fluke! Oh, wait... I also worry about the implosion of Nissan, and how that will affect we owners of somewhat specialised Nissans.

And now that Nissan has seemingly abandoned the LEAF and BEVs in general, expect the maintenance of Carwings to go downhill even more, if that’s possible. I actually thought Nissan has really been pushing the new Leaf. Ads on TV, and big banners out the front of dealerships that mention the 'New Leaf'. Just a shame the battery cooling is still nonexistent, and they have publicly said they'd focus more on higher end EVs (not low margin Leafs).

I actually thought Nissan has really been pushing the new Leaf. Ads on TV... Yes, Nissan Australia seem to be doing their bit. It's corporate Nissan, now that Carlos has... left, that seems to be the problem. Are Leafs really low margin? I suppose in comparison with corporate Nissan's dreams of what they could get for higher end EVs

I don't know the profit margin on Leafs, but Nissan could easily end up being price squeezed in the next higher segment as well.

I actually thought Nissan has really been pushing the new Leaf. Ads on TV... Yes, Nissan has been advertising the new LEAF much more than they ever did the first one (which wouldn’t be difficult ) but under their new leadership they seem to be beating a retreat from BEVs and making a bizarre change in strategy to push more PHEVs and hybrids: electrek.co/2020/01/02/did-a-nissan-exec-really-just-say-that-ev-charging-is-too-difficult-for-women/You have to wonder what their thinking is - they are totally misreading the market. PHEV sales are absolutely tanking in Europe as BEVs take off. PHEVs are like being half-pregnant and people seem to be increasingly thinking if they are going to make the leap to a plug-in then go the whole way and get all of the advantages of a BEV and none of the compromises of a PHEV.

Hehe, yeah I wasn't into EVs when the Leaf first came out, but I was into cars and I didn't hear anything about it. Crazy what Nissan are doing... :/

The AUDIO fuse trick works for me also but only for a single use of the app then it stops again. I'm still on my original 12 volt battery so I'm thinking perhaps this is the issue as it would be over 6 years old now.

I found the audio fuse trick unreliable too.
When the Battery/climate service stopped working for me several weeks ago, I tried the fuse trick twice and it still didn't work. I then looked at the Carwings telematics details in the the car menu i.e. ID numbers SIM etc, and found them blank ! Now it was completely dead. Then disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting restored all the data on the screen. The full service then worked, and has been perfect ever since.
So I surmise from this, that there is some random startup timing issue using the fuse trick, and a full battery disconnect maybe a better process. Always check the telematics data is present after the fuse / battery job, otherwise the service will never work.
The other interesting fact is that my original fault was the Battery status/ Climate control functions had stopped, but the driving stats were still working. So the telematics was still partially working. So if your issue is this situation, the battery / fuse trick may still work for you.
Also, I replaced my 12v battery a year or so ago with a Yellow top Optima, so this will hopefully help with the ongoing reliability .... DAC

I'm a big fan of Optima (got sick of lead-acid batteries dying every 3 years, and my last Optima lasted 8 years). Once the 12V does, it'll be replaced with an Optima.

from Rudsy..."How long did you take the fuse out? I do wonder whether how long it's off makes the difference."
Well I spoke too soon. It stopped working again. So this time I removed the fuse for just 20 secs (previously I had it out for a few minutes.) And this time it worked. So maybe a short period works best. Too long and maybe the unit loses its settings and requires the full battery disconnect to force a full refresh. Anyway I'll keep experimenting each time it stops and see what is most reliable.
