Yes sorry, should have noted "The councillor hoped to see charging stations become a reality by the end of the year."
I've contacted him to offer to assist.

Right, well they completely missed that deadline, but it is now active - tested this morning. Note that it did two Err 22 messages on the chademo before I decided to turn the car off completely, then it worked fine. Can't remember if this is usual behaviour. www.plugshare.com/location/244278

That's great, it makes Canberra more accessible. It's 97km from my home to Mittagong and I was questioning how safe it was to do non-stop.
Anyone planning to take long day trips with the expanding charging network? I'm still aiming for Canberra, maybe even beyond.

Anyone planning to take long day trips with the expanding charging network? I'm still aiming for Canberra, maybe even beyond. The furthest I have ever driven my LEAF from my home in Sydney is 65 km, charging overnight. I have never tried to cover more than its range in one day, hence needing to rely on an in-trip charge. Having said that, I bought it as a city car, and never expected or intended to use it for longer trips. So in comparison, driving Model 3 is such a different universe. The longest drive we’ve done in a weekend is 780 km. Just being able to drive completely range-anxiety free at highway speeds of 110+ km/h without missing a beat is just incredible.
